Auto-Investigations is a division of Auto Information Services, Inc. (AISI). Auto Information Services Inc., a New York State corporation, located in Rochester, N.Y., has been in business since 1959 and offers specialized services to repair shops, law firms, insurance companies and individuals through multiple divisions. These divisions include information services, vehicle related investigations as well as the actual repair of vehicle systems themselves.
Mr. Gan also created AirbagSolutions.com, an on-line pictorial database for airbag system servicing. This Information Service Provider (ISP) defines and condenses the complex original equipment manufacturers' (OEM) requirements used to service and replace airbag systems in crash vehicles after deployment. This database has subscribers worldwide including individuals, body shops, insurance companies and appraisers. AirbagSolutions.com has quickly risen to top placement in internet search engines as a leading provider of airbag information.
Douglas Gan, owner / President of AISI is a skilled technician and businessman with over 30 years of experience. He is ASE certified in 7 categories, holds a degree in Mechanical Technology and was trained by General Motors and Chrysler. His hands-on experience and history of owning two body and mechanical repair shops differentiates him from other investigators. His technical background provides him with the insight and experience required in the field. In addition to his consulting and investigation duties, he is frequently called on to author articles for national auto industry publications.
AISI Divisions
Auto-Investigations serves its client base by providing an impartial, technically correct, conclusive, investigative report for vehicle related cases. Often, our clients have questions and doubts, or misunderstand the vehicle system involved. Our investigators clear up the confusion with technical expertise. We are frequently asked to resolve questions about airbag deployment, component requirements and installations. In addition to providing investigations, we are also called upon to testify as an expert witness in the field of airbags, theft accomplishments, fire (cause and origin) and vehicle investigations.
Stolen and Recovered serves over 325 independent auto repair shops, collision shops, dealerships and insurance companies servicing airbag systems, stolen vehicles and steering column / interior damage. This mobile service company installs airbags, dashboard and interior components and rebuilds steering column and ignition systems. In operation since 1992, Stolen & Recovered has repaired over 9500 vehicles.
